I was one among thousands who was separated from my employer which faced serious economic downturns. I lost my job, but was offered another un-exciting job which I didn’t want at that stage and aspirations of my career. I started my own company. Several months passed by with no revenue, yet it is a promising company with a promising product. But we needed to have an income to ‘keep things moving’. My wife who was looking for a job for a few months found no positive response, but did not lose her faith. It was time and she chanted the Lakshmi-Kubera mantra consistently for the next four weeks, while looking out for opportunities. Within four weeks she landed a job that offered her 1) a work environment that was fun 2) a job grade higher than expected and 3) 30% more salary than she imagined or was average for the grade/post.
